My vinyl player couldn't fix two playback problems in this album.
1: a skip in B2 - Shotgun Blues (tried to edit it out). 2: In Estranged,
there is three or four skips during Slash's guitar solo. This is very
unfortunate, but it is what it is. Perhaps a more expensive vinyl
player can correct for this, but mine couldn't. I'll try again when I get a new pickup or player.
Notes 2:
I've re-ripped the two tracks mentioned above with a higher needle pressure.
The skip in Shotgun Blues remained, but Estranged became better, albeit not perfect.
New file for Estranged uploaded.

This budget release is among the many posthumous Jimi Hendrix releases that surfaced in 1972. In the Beginning is a good title for the record, which offers some early, lesser known material that Hendrix did in June 1966 before he formed the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Hendrix isn't the leader on this release's six selections. He is heard as sideman for saxophonist and vocalist Lonnie Youngblood. Although Youngblood is the leader, Hendrix is featured prominently on electric guitar.
